An old building …

My wife’s late aunt lived in the building next to us… That building is over 100 years old…

 

That’s where my wife Sanja and I met… I have fond memories of that apartment…

That apartment, about twenty years ago, was broken into… From the yard side… It was Burglar in the apartment…

 

Burglar in the apartment …

Yesterday, I went alone to the apartment in the neighboring building, which my wife inherited… The door to the courtyard terrace was broken in… I tried to open the second double door to the terrace, but it was locked…

 

Since I didn’t have the key to the main door of the apartment, I had to wait for my son to return from Zagreb… He had the keys…

After his return, we went together to open the main door of the apartment…

 

The moment we pressed the handle of the door of the apartment, the sounds of a chain were heard from inside… It was the sound of the latch to close the door, which meant that someone was inside…

 

We called the police… 

 

When we entered the terrace with the police from the courtyard side, the terrace door was open, which meant that the burglar ran away…

The police took prints and photographed the burglar’s jacket, sheet metal pliers and eye spray, which he forgot to take with him in fear and speed…

 

Investigation underway…

 

Obstacles for burglars …

For professional burglars, there are no obstacles… Padlocks, locks and more are only for honest people…
