Little bird …
While walking the other day with our dog Lou, we came across a little bird in the grass… Lou smelled it…
It fell from a tree branch… It was evening…
So that the cat wouldn’t find him, I took him home…
I put him in a cage and fed him ground biscuits and a boiled egg…
With a syringe…
I also put water in its bowl… And took it out to the balcony…
After a while, I found it in the bowl… It was standing in the water… But without its reaction of pleasure in bathing…
I realized that it had accidentally fallen into the water… Its brain could not register that it could bathe there, nor how to do it…
It was too young…
It looked like young Alzheimer’s…
Our acquaintance Alzheimer …
All of us adults, but also younger people, sometimes forget something…
My wife Sanja laughs at me when she writes down her obligations for the upcoming period, or the groceries I need to buy at the store…
She says my brain will get lazy…
She never writes anything down…
And that’s why she forgets everything…
Mobile phone, keys, wallet and other things… She forgets to give me some important information…
And me?
I write everything down, so I don’t forget anything…
Although it can happen to me that I go to get something in my room, and then forget what I went to get…
It’s only when I get back that I remember…
My wife is 64 years old, old Alzheimer’s…
Old people…
When I look at those older than me, they seem lost to me… Gazing into the distance, speechless, serious…
Honor to individuals…
That’s how I caught myself, how in some moments of intellectual rapture I look like that too…
