Mrs. Slavica and other neighbors always brought their flowers to the staircase before winter… For the reason that it does not freeze…
Everyone except me… Because I had forest plants…
Our residential building …
I was born in the current building, more than half a century ago … We always had flowers on the street loggias … From spring to late autumn, our loggias were beautiful …
The building looked beautiful and magical …
From then until spring, no more flowers … Our loggias were empty … The building looked sad and cold …
Forest plants on the loggias of the building …
About 10 years ago, I became interested in flowers … Indoor and balcony flowers … I immediately started planting forest plants on my loggia … Unlike my neighbor Mrs. Slavica, and other neighbors …
Why? Well, the neighbors had to bring their flowers to the staircase every year … I didn’t like it … The look of the building gets poorer in colder weather …
I started going to the woods … And I was just looking at seedlings and branches of forest flowers … I was fascinated by them …
Over time, I enriched my loggia with them …
All this was preceded by the purchase of pots for forest plants, and the collection of land from the forest …
Maintenance of forest plants …
But that’s not all… And these plants should be protected from too much sun, heat, frost… They should be provided with natural rainwater…
I solved all this… On the outside of the flower pot, I covered it with sponge insulation material… I placed wood shavings (mulch) on the surface of the earth.
Irrigation of plants with rainwater, I solved by connecting to the vertical gutter of the building…
Of course, there is decorative lighting, for a night atmosphere… and the inevitable wire mesh for climbing forest plants…
Everything is fine, only my neighbor Slavica complains when she gets a drop of rain when watering plants…
